Web design in Anchorage, built to be found

Most Anchorage businesses do not need a bigger website. They need one that loads before someone gives up, says what the business actually does, and makes the next step obvious. That is what we build.

A template is not cheaper. It is deferred cost.

Here is the argument I get into most often. A template looks like the frugal choice because the sticker price is lower on day one. Then you spend a year fighting it. The layout you want is not one of the six the theme allows. The plugin that adds a booking form adds four seconds of load time. Nobody can change the homepage without breaking the spacing, so the homepage never changes.

You end up paying anyway, in staff hours and in the customers who bounced. I would rather charge you once and hand you something that fits. Our pricing starts at $1,500 for a five-page site, which is not a number designed to sound impressive. It is what a small, honest site costs when a person builds it instead of a theme.

The exception is real: if you need a placeholder online this week and you will replace it inside a year, buy a template. I will tell you that on the call rather than sell you a build you do not need yet.

Built for how Alaskans actually search

Search behavior here is not Seattle's. A contractor in Eagle River gets found on "gutter cleaning near me" typed one-handed in a truck. A commercial broker gets found on a specific building name. Those are different problems, and a site that treats them the same wins neither.

Every build we ship gets the structural work that makes local search possible: one clear H1 per page, a page per service instead of a single "Services" catch-all, schema markup describing the business to search engines, and a Google Business Profile that matches the site character for character. On-page SEO is included with every website. It is not an upsell, because a site without it is half-finished.

You should be able to change your own website

A website you cannot edit is a website that goes stale. Every build ships with a content system for the parts that move: services, service areas, gallery, blog, staff. You add a service, the page appears, and it lands in the sitemap on its own.

What we do not do is hand you a page builder and call it training. The editable parts are the parts that should change. The layout stays locked, because the fastest way to break a site is to let a drag-and-drop editor near the grid.

How a build actually runs

Two weeks for most sites, not two months. That only works because the sequence is fixed.

  1. Call

Thirty minutes. What the business does, who buys, what the site has to make happen. If we are wrong for you, this is where I say so.

  2. Map

Page list, target search terms per page, and the one action each page drives. You approve this before any design happens, because moving a page here is free and moving it later is not.

  3. Design and build

Design and development run together rather than as separate billed phases. You see real pages in a browser, not flat mockups that hide how it behaves on a phone.

  4. Launch

Redirects, schema, sitemap, Search Console, analytics. Then we watch the first fortnight of real traffic and fix what the data argues with.

Common questions

Web design, answered

How much does web design cost in Anchorage?

Our builds start at $1,500 for a five-page site and run to $39,997 for full custom development. Most Alaska small businesses land between $3,997 and $9,997. You can finance any tier over up to 24 months or pay upfront and take 25% off.

How long until my site is live?

One week for a five-page site, about two weeks for a standard ten-page build, and two to three weeks for a large SEO-focused site. The thing that delays projects is almost never our end. It is waiting on photos and copy approvals.

Do I have to be in Anchorage to work with you?

No. We build for businesses across Alaska and everything runs remotely if that suits you. If you are in Anchorage or the Valley and would rather meet in person, that is easy to arrange.

Who owns the website when it is done?

You do. Your domain is registered in your name and always belongs to you, and we will never hold your domain or website hostage for any reason. If you pay upfront you own the site immediately; on a financed build, after 24 months of payments.

Do you write the content or do I?

We write it. You will know your business better than we ever will, so we interview you and then draft it. Handing a client a blank content questionnaire and waiting is how projects die.
